It is hard not to do a DraftKings Showdown line up when you have the Penguins and Capitals going head to head.

Thanks to Alexander Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby, this has become one of the best rivalries in the NHL. It is always a great game when these two teams meet up.

Here is a breakdown of my line up.

I picked three Capitals and three Penguins. Alex Ovechkin is a no brainer. He scored two goals yesterday against the Devils which gives him 700 for his career. Ovechkin is a sniper, plain and simple. I play him because he scores and plays on Washington’s number one power play. As good as he is, Ovechkin does not make others around better so he has limited cross category potential.

T.J Oshie is quality having a good season with 24 goals and 20 assists. He plays about 19 minutes a game and he plays on the power play and the penalty kill so he can get me points in a variety of ways.

Evgeny Kuznetsov has emerged as the Capitals most complete offensive players and his stats reflect that. He has 19 goals, 29 assists and has taken 114 shots on the season. He is a factor on the Capitals number one power play.

I usually split my showdown line up but for value purposes and because I wanted Crosby and Malkin, I am playing a forth Capital in Richard Panik.

As for the Penguins, I am going with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Both are playing at their usual high level right now and both are at their best in big games like this.
