Give me some Yonny Chirinos tonight against the struggling Rangers line up.
Going with another classic line up for tonight. Focusing on the 7:05 starts. Here is how I spent my $50,000.
P: Patrick Corbin, Diamondbacks vs. Giants ($9,800): The crafty lefty is 2-0 with a 2.46 ERA and 29 K’s on the season. Corbin picked up where he left off last season, which makes him appealing in a match up against the Giants.
P: Yonny Chirinos, Rays vs. Rangers ($4,700): Chirinos has been the best of the Rays bullpen starters this season. He is a strikeout pitcher who has deceptive stuff. I like the match up against the struggling Rangers tonight.
C: Yasmani Grandal, Dodgers at Padres ($3,600): Grandal is absolutely raking right now and is a smart play even at Petco Park. Grandal is hot right now. Play him!
1B: Jose Martinez, Cardinals at Cubs ($3,700): Martinez is off to a good start for the Cardinals. He hits all over the line up and has the potential to produce on a nightly basis. Love the match up against Tyler Chatwood tonight.
2B: Javier Baez, Cubs vs. Cardinals ($4,100): $4,100 is a steep price to pay for an infielder but Baez has been hitting the cover off the ball of late, especially at home.
3B: Alex Bregman, Astros at Mariners ($4,100): Bregman is off to a tough start batting just .212 on the season. Despite that, I like him tonight against Angel Miranda who has a hard time finding the strike zone.
SS: Trevor Story, Rockies at Pirates ($3,700): Story homered last night and something tells me he is starting to get into a groove at the plate. I like this match up against Pittsburgh’s pitching staff.
OF: Charlie Blackmon, Rockies at Pirates ($5,200): Chuck Nasty has seven homers on the season and all of them have been on the road. Blackmon homered last night and I’m banking on him doing it again tonight.
OF: Bryce Harper, Nationals at Mets ($5,200): The Nationals have struggled as a team thus far but not Harper. He has eight bombs on the season and he’s got a juicy match up against Zach Wheeler tonight.
OF: Tommy Pham, Cardinals at Cubs ($4,700): Pham hits for power, average and steals bags. He’ll get you some points tonight. Trust me. I’m not even a Pham guy but he’s playing out of his mind right now.
